Peridot Necklace and Earring Set
This earring and necklace set was made with Peridot polished beads. We paired them with Hematite "spikes", findings, crystal beads, chain, earring wires and a lobster claw clasp. The necklace measures 19" and the earrings have a 1 1/2" drop from the ear wires.
Called “the extreme gem” by the Gemological Institute of America, Peridot is born of fire and brought to light, one of only two gems (Diamond is the other) formed not in the Earth’s crust, but in molten rock of the upper mantle and brought to the surface by the tremendous forces of earthquakes and volcanoes. While these Peridots are born of Earth, other crystals of Peridot have extraterrestrial origins, found in rare pallasite meteorites (only 61 known to date) formed some 4.5 billion years ago, remnants of our solar system’s birth. Peridot in its basic form, Olivine, was also found in comet dust brought back from the Stardust robotic space probe in 2006, has been discovered on the moon, and detected by instrument on Mars by NASA’s Global Surveyor. Hematite is a stone used to clear and focus the mind. It will enhance memory and aid in clarity of thought. It is a “mind cleanser” and will aid in calming emotions to allow for rational thought and decision making. It calms mental stress.

Gift wrapping and packaging
We hope our packaging looks as pretty as the gift inside! That is something that we take a lot of pride in. We have gift boxes, sheer organza bags, cards, etc. If you want something special, email us and we will do what we can to tailor it to the person you’re sending it to or the occasion. But if you’re splurging on yourself, rest easy, when it comes out of our workroom for shipping it will still look special!
Custom and personalised orders
A lot of our time is spent out at festivals, shows, events, etc. We specialize in one-of-a-kind handcrafted pieces. What you see online might not be what you’re looking for but you know what you want (at least a little). My sister, Beth, is a master at anything hemp, leather or metal. I love any kind of stone I can find and unique pendants on silk cord, leather and chain. Send us an email and together we will bring that vision to life. The best part of custom is having your hand in the design of it, you’ll get what you want.
Sizing details
Sizing can be difficult sometimes. The best thing to have is a soft measuring tape so you can get a feel of the length you want. Some people want pieces for certain necklines and it matters where you want it to sit. We’ve had people give or send us string they cut for the length. It’s funny I know but it worked in a pinch. There’s customers out there who can’t just come out and ask what size the person wears for their bracelet or something.
Care instructions
Quite honestly we try to make whatever we make out of quality materials. We don’t use silver or sterling silver because it tarnishes. There are times you do have something that tarnishes or darkens but we try the best we can to avoid that. We make our pieces and leave them exposed to the air so we can not sell a piece until we know the findings, crimps, clasps, spacers, etc. will not tarnish.
